Call for Volunteer Reviewers: BELMAS Annual Conference 2018

05.09.17

BELMAS is looking for volunteers to join our peer review team for submissions for the 2018 Annual Conference. We are looking for individuals with proven research expertise at or above doctoral degree level and/or experienced senior leaders in an educational establishment. Selected volunteers will serve on an expert review panel and will evaluate approximately 10 to 20 abstracts of up to 500 words depending on the number of submissions.

Serving on the review panel is a selective process and merits recognition. Reviewers will be publicly acknowledged in the conference handbook, adding to the transparency of the process.

Eligibility

Any BELMAS member may volunteer for consideration as a peer reviewer. Peer reviewers need to have a relevant and substantive background and expertise and be able to demonstrate knowledge of the field and emerging literature. Successful applicants will either demonstrate research expertise of doctoral degree level or above or will have recent experience of senior leadership at an educational establishment.

Applications

Applications are invited by email to info@belmas.org.uk and must include a CV and a statement of no more than 350 words outlining relevant expertise and experience. The deadline for applications is 19 November 2017.

Applicants will be notified by 27 November 2017 and the abstract review period will be from 8 to 28 January 2018.

BELMAS adheres to a double blind review process and reviewers will be given access to the online system which provides evaluation criteria and guidance on the scoring method.

Reviewers will be required to abide by BELMAS’ conflict of interest policy and excuse themselves from evaluating a submission where necessary.
