Dr Sue Robinson
Sue Robinson has been a head teacher since 1996 and a National Leader of Education since 2007. With her team from Cherry Orchard School (Birmingham) she has worked extensively to offer support for schools facing challenge. Her PhD thesis on the theme of educational policy for change impacting on the role of head teachers was awarded Thesis of the Year (2009-2010) by BELMAS. Sue has extensively updated the work for a book ‘School and System Leadership’ to be published in Mar 2012 by Continuum Press.
Sue has facilitated on programmes for the National College and has lectured on the Masters Degree programme for leadership at Warwick University. She writes regularly for academic journals, including Educational Management, Administration and Leadership, newspapers and magazines such as the Times Education Supplement and ldr (National College). In addition she writes a regular blog for the National Education Trust. Her professional interests include the impact of globalisation on education, system leadership, changing models of leadership and continuing professional development.
