Structural reform of schooling: new publication


The Society has published a special issue of Educational Management Administration and Leadership (vol. 42, no. 3) on the theme ‘Structural reform of schooling in England: Emerging configurations of governance and leadership in the new “local”'. The issue draws on research projects funded by BELMAS to explore a range of issues, but focussing particularly on the responses to the emerging policy agenda of key actors such as school and chain leaders, local authorities and sponsors of free schools. Other papers also review ways of theorising the changes and the wider international context in which they take place.
