Call for Abstracts: BELMAS Annual Conference 2017

Abstract submission is now open for BELMAS Annual Conference 2017. The conference will take place on 7th - 9th July 2017 at Ettington Chase in Stratford-on-Avon, UK. For information on location and venue, please click here.

2017's conference theme is: “Educational leadership for a global society: challenges, dilemmas and ways forward.”

Global relations and forces form an evolving context with which local, alternative and national educational cultures and philosophies interact. This year’s theme invites contributions that address issues facing educational leadership in this context - both its challenges and dilemmas and its opportunities. For example: What does it mean to practice educational leadership with the aim of working for a global society? Is it a meaningful educational aim? What are the leadership implications of globalisation and its consequences for social justice, learning, educators’ professional identity and the place of local, alternative and national educational cultures? Contributions from diverse theoretical, methodological and cultural perspectives are encouraged.

All abstracts are subjected to anonymous peer review and are selected solely on quality. Submissions must be made online using our abstract submission system by 2nd December 2016. Abstracts received after this deadline will not be included in the programme. For more information on submission criteria and session formats, please visit the conference website
