Parental Engagement and Leadership RIG Meeting

Date: Saturday 16th June 2018
Venue: University of Bath
Time: 10:00 - 15:20

The literature is clear about the value of parental engagement with children’s learning, yet often school leaders struggle to support parents’ engagement with learning.

This inaugural RIG event has two main purposes: to discuss the current state of research in the field and to look to the future and what we might be able to do.

During the day we will have time to share our current research interests and projects. There will also be a session in which we can look at some of the outstanding issues in or critiques of the field. And finally, we will have a session to look at what we might do in the future, planning perhaps joint publications and research (and perhaps BELMAS presentations!).  Postgraduate students and school leaders particularly welcome!
