NEW EVENT: Gender and Educational Leadership in the context of COVID-19 and Black Lives Matter

The purpose of the seminar is to give voice to researchers in gender and educational leadership who have been leading through challenging times.

The Gender and Leadership RIG is open to all those who have an interest in gender and leadership in its broadest sense, including educational leaders, researchers and research students. The aim is to build a forum and network capable of generating and facilitating exchange and partnership on a continuing basis across the full range of research interests, professional contexts and contemporary issues.

The seminar will be hosted by Dr Victoria Showunmi and Chaired by Dr Pontso Moorosi. The speakers are: Dr Jennie Weiner Associate Professor of Educational Leadership, University of Connecticut, Audrey Johnson, Director of Early Help and Children’s health London Borough of Newham and Professor Juliet Perumal & Dr Felicia Williams, University of Johannesburg, Department of Education Leadership & Management. Each of the speakers will have 20mins to speak about their work on/as educational leaders in the current climate. There will be time for question and answer session which will lead into a wider discussion on gender and educational leadership.
