Post-16 Education Leadership and Management RIG Meeting

Date: Thursday 27th April 2017
Venue: University of Derby
Time: 10.30am - 3.00pm

Following our successful launch event at the University of Derby in November, we are delighted to invite you to the second event of the Post-16 Research Interest Group (RIG). The aim of this RIG is to build a forum and network which will facilitate research and knowledge exchange, develop practice, and nurture partnerships in the area of post-16 education leadership and management (broadly defined).

This event will be in the form of a discussion workshop and there will be plenty of opportunities for attendees to discuss their current and future research plans with other colleagues.

To aid our discussions, please send a short summary (no more than 150 words) of your current research activity/interests in post-16 leadership and management to before the event.

During the workshop, the plan is for individuals to be given a short period of time to discuss their current/future work followed by questions/discussion (these are not intended to be formal presentations, but more of a round table discussion).

Delegates will also have a chance to discuss possible future group activities for the RIG, with the aim of setting out an agreed programme of regular events.

Proposed Timetable

10.30 - 11.00 Arrival Tea/Coffee
11.00 - 12.30 Roundtable discussion: group members’ research interests
12.30 - 13.30 Lunch
13.30 - 14.30 Roundtable discussion: group members’ research interests
14.30 - 15.00 Possible future activities for the RIG

We look forward to welcoming you to the University of Derby and progressing the RIG.

This is a free event with tea, coffee and lunch provided. Full venue details will be provided to registered delegates in the form of joining instructions.
