Vice-Chair Finance & Resource and Trustee
As a Board Trustee, I contribute to the strategic leadership of the BELMAS and am a member of the Finance and Resources sub-committee. I am committed to supporting BELMAS and am passionate about knowledge exchange, research, and the global development of educational leadership. I undertake research and advisory work on education management and contribute to the development of business leadership in schools through collaboration with professionals bodies, research societies, and UK government departments.
As a research and teaching academic (Senior Lecturer in Leadership and Management) at Manchester Metropolitan University, I am part of the executive education faculty and teach across our MBA portfolio, business management courses, and degree apprenticeships. I have a research interest in critical and social constructionist approaches to learning and development, particularly in relation to leadership, identity studies and reflexivity in professional practice. Prior to joining academia, I spent time in public sector and non-profit management having held senior roles in state schools, NGOs and social enterprise charities, including time spent in secondary education in England overseeing finance and operations, and as an operations manager for a charity in Australia leading education and care programmes in primary schools.
