Pablo FloresPablo Flores

Pablo Flores is an international education leader whose career bridges school leadership, language education, and strategic management across Europe, Asia and America. He currently serves as a Board Member of the International Schools Association (ISA), where he leads Academic and Educational Activities and coordinates interschool projects reaching thousands of students and teachers worldwide.

His academic background reflects a deliberate move from engineering into education and leadership: a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering (K.E. Tsiolkovsky – MATI), a Master’s in Management of Organizations (Innovation Management Academy), and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Management from the University of Buckingham. This has been reinforced by executive education at Harvard (Leaders of Learning; Data Wise to Improve Teaching and Learning), the University of Jyväskylä, Erasmus University, and the University of California, Irvine, among others.

Pablo is a contributor to research on educational leadership and project-based learning. He has presented at conferences and seminars, and is currently researching the impact of distributed leadership in schools.

An affiliate member of BELMAS, ALTE, and EALTA, Pablo brings a distinctive combination of technical, pedagogical, and cross-cultural expertise — fluent in Spanish, English, Russian and Italian, and currently learning Greek — to conversations about the future of international school leadership.

Why vote for me?

I am an international education leader with extensive experience working across schools, educational organisations and international networks. I currently serve on the Board of the International Schools Association (ISA) and lead international programmes connecting schools, educators and students across different countries and educational contexts.

My professional experience has given me a perspective that combines educational practice, international collaboration and strategic management. I have worked closely with school leaders, teachers, students, universities, embassies and international organisations, developing projects that bring people together around common educational goals.

What I would like to bring to the BELMAS Board is an international perspective and international networking. Much of my work takes place at the point where educational leadership moves from theory into practice like supporting schools, developing partnerships, managing change and creating opportunities for educators and students to learn from one another across borders.

I believe BELMAS has an important role to play in connecting research, professional practice and the realities faced by educational leaders today. I would like to contribute to making that conversation even more international.
I am standing because I believe I can contribute something distinctive to the Board while also learning from the expertise already within BELMAS.
