This year, BELMAS members are electing five Trustees to join the Board and help guide the continued development of the Society.
Trustees play an important role in the governance and strategic leadership of BELMAS, helping to ensure that the Society remains responsive to its members and continues to deliver against our vision:
To be an innovative, globally recognised and respected learned society for the development of educational leadership, management and administration.
We encourage all eligible BELMAS members to take part and have their say on who will help shape the future direction of the Society.
Voting is simple and secure. Eligible members will receive a unique voting link by email. This link is individual to you and should not be shared with anyone else.
Please review the candidate information below before submitting your vote.
The election uses the Single Transferable Vote (STV) system. You will be asked to rank candidates in order of preference and will also have the option to vote for Re-Open Nominations (RON).
You should rank candidates in your preferred order rather than selecting only one candidate.
RON allows members to vote to Re-Open Nominations if they do not feel that the remaining candidates should fill the available Trustee positions.
For example, if RON is ranked third in a five-seat election and reaches the required threshold, the effect could be that the remaining positions are reopened for nominations in accordance with the election process.
The results of the Trustee Elections will be announced on Wednesday 14th October 2026 by email and through BELMAS social media channels.
If you have any questions about the election or have not received your voting link, please contact the BELMAS Office at info@belmas.org.uk.
Voting closes at 23:59 (UK time) on Sunday 11th October 2026. We encourage all eligible members to take part and have their say in the future governance of BELMAS.
