As part of our ECR Month celebrations, we’re excited to invite you to an interactive session hosted by the Chair of BELMAS, Dr Deb Outhwaite.
Deb Outhwaite is hosting an ‘Ignite-Style’ Hour, where all ECRs are welcome, as are all those who have previously been ECRs, and/or who work with ECRs – so most (if not all!) of BELMAS are very welcome to attend!
We’ll be exploring the question “How has BELMAS helped you in your ECR journey?”
No matter what stage of your career you’re at now, you’re invited to join the conversation.
We’ll hear from a range of contributors — speaking for just 60 seconds to a maximum of 3 minutes — tell us what BELMAS has done for them, and what they get out (or put back!) for the BELMAS community.

You’re also welcome to contribute, or simply come along and listen.
This will be followed by a conversation where we can discuss what else BELMAS can do to make being an ECR just that little bit easier…we hope that you can join us!
This event is free to BELMAS members and £5.00 for non-members. To ensure you receive your free ticket, please login to the Member Area of the BELMAS website before booking.
If you pay the non-member fee to attend and then become a BELMAS Member within a month of the event taking place, please let us know and we will refund the £5 fee.
Registration will close at midnight (UK) on Monday 6th October 2025.
