We invite you to the next online event from the Emergent Researcher Research Interest Group (RIG), when we will be joined by Dr Beth Holmes who will share her doctoral experience with us in an engaging session entitled ‘Keeping the Faith: Researching Educational Values and the Juggle of Completing a Doctorate Alongside Family Life’.
Beth recently completed her EdD through the University of Warwick and is a Senior Lecturer in ITE at the University of Derby.
Her research journey coincided with living through the global pandemic, whilst also supporting her family through some difficult times. These experiences shaped the outcome of her research, which resulted in a rich narrative that investigated how a school’s values shaped their response to COVID-19.
The talk will outline Beth’s journey to completing her doctorate, showing how there is definitely light at the end of the complex research tunnel!
