DescriptionEvent Recording

Where: Online (Zoom)
Date: Friday 31st May 2024
Time: 10.00am – 11.15am (UK time)

We invite you to the next event from the BELMAS International and Comparative Education Research Interest Group, which will follow on from the RIG’s previous event, ‘Leadership in International Schools: The Emerging Themes and Issues‘.

Taking place online on 31st May, it will feature a presentation from Dr Nidal Al Haj Sleiman, who will discuss her recently defended PhD on the sociocultural nature of educational leadership in international schools.

The event will explore how international schools are especially complex evolving loosely linked systems. Yet, at the same time they paradoxically stand as under researched educational institutions. In particular, Nidal’s study introduces the notion that the senior leaders are often not trained or ready to lead a school in non-western contexts, where the host nation culture adds to the complexity.

Speaker

Dr Nidal Al Haj Sleiman

Please note, this event is free to BELMAS members. To ensure you receive your free ticket, please log in on the BELMAS website before booking. For non-members, this event will cost £10.
