Date: Friday 4th April 2025
Time: 12.00pm – 2.00pm (UK time)

We are delighted to invite you to launch event of the newly re-named and reinvigorated Inclusion Leadership RIG.

Join Co-Convenors, Dr Beth Holmes, Dr Wendy Conrad and Dr Donnie Adams, for this insightful session, when guest speaker, Mel Ainscow CBE, will be sharing insight into his work ‘Leading Inclusive School Development’.

Inclusion and equity are increasingly seen internationally as major priorities for the development of educational policies and practices. This presentation will draw on Mel Ainscow’s extensive experience of working with education systems in different countries to address the challenges involved. In particular, it will explore how forms of collaborative inquiry can throw light on the barriers experienced by some learners and, at the same time, help identify overlooked resources that can be mobilised to address these difficulties. This has major implications for leadership practices within schools and across education systems.

As part of the launch, the Co-Convenors will also be outlining future RIG events.

We hope you can join us.

Please note, this event is free to BELMAS members and £5.00 for non-members. To ensure you receive your free ticket, please log in on the BELMAS website before booking.

If you pay the non-member fee to attend and then become a BELMAS Member within a month of the event taking place, please let us know and we will refund the £5 fee.

Registration will close at midnight (UK) on Wednesday 2nd April 2025.
