The BELMAS Trustee Board is delighted to announce that Professor Steven Courtney will become the next BELMAS Chair.
Current Chair, Deb Outhwaite’s term comes to an end in December following 3 years at the helm, and Steve will start his role from 1st January 2027.
On his new role, Steve says:
‘I am delighted that my nomination to serve as Chair of BELMAS has been endorsed by the Board of Trustees, and I look forward to serving the Society in this role. BELMAS is a distinctive and valued community, bringing together practitioners and academics in the shared endeavour of advancing educational leadership, management and administration, particularly through our two field-leading journals, our conference and our research interest groups. I am grateful for the opportunity to build on the Society’s strong foundations established by Dr Deb Outhwaite and the other trustees, and to work collaboratively with Council and with you, our members, to support our field, strengthen our community, and ensure BELMAS continues to thrive.’
Please join us in offering our huge congratulations to Steve! We look forward to supporting him as establishes his position and can’t wait to see what he will bring to the BELMAS Community when his term starts in January 2027.
