
Introduction and Purpose of Bursary
BELMAS has allocated a limited fund to support up to 20 members (approximately 10%) in attending the Annual Conference at the Leonardo Royal Waterfront Hotel, Brighton, England, from Friday, 4th to Sunday, 6th July 2025.
The purpose of these bursaries is to assist BELMAS members who are:
Eligibility
This bursary is exclusive to BELMAS members only. To become a BELMAS member, join HERE.
The bursaries may not cover the entire cost of the conference. However, they will provide support towards expenses such as conference tickets, travel, accommodation, or other associated costs, including support for caring responsibilities.
One bursary is reserved for an individual studying or working in Brighton.
The bursary application ranges from £200 to £500.
Priority will be given to those who are BELMAS members, have submitted an abstract for the conference and are self-funded.
Selection Criteria
Each application will be evaluated by the Conference Committee, BELMAS Chair, and Executive Officer. Each application will be evaluated based on the criteria mentioned above, and the likelihood of success will depend on the number of applications received and value of funds requested.

The successful recipients will be notified on or before the 1st March and you must purchase a ticket to the conference by 7th March 2025. Details on how to purchase a ticket will be sent via email included within your successful notification.
If you purchase a conference ticket before being selected, you will receive a refund for the amount awarded.
The bursary award will not exceed £500 per successful applicant.
