We’re delighted to announce that ECR (Early Career Researcher) Month is back for 2024.
We have a number of exciting online and in-person events and activities coming your way, taking place throughout October, to celebrate and champion Early Career Researchers. These will be exclusive to BELMAS members. You will need to be logged in on the BELMAS website to register for tickets.
Please note: the term Early Career Researcher applies to anyone who is in the process of completing their Masters or Doctorate in education, including those who completed their studies within the past 5 years.

We invite you to the next online event from the Emergent Researcher Research Interest Group (RIG), when we will be joined by Dr Beth Holmes who will share her doctoral experience with us in an engaging session entitled ‘Keeping the Faith: Researching Educational Values and the Juggle of Completing a Doctorate Alongside Family Life’.
Please note, this event is free to BELMAS members and £5.00 for non-members.

This is an event for Early Career Researchers, to talk through submission to both Management in Education (MiE), and Education Management and Leadership (EMAL).
It will involve talks from Dr Deb Outhwaite about engagement in BELMAS RIG’s as an ECR, then a talk from Professor Megan Crawford on writing for EMAL.
There will be a question and answer session, and ECRs are encouraged to attend and participate.
We can also cover the abstract submission process for the annual conference.
