BELMAS is pleased to share that Management in Education (MiE) has achieved a 2025 Impact Factor of 4.3, marking a substantial rise from 3.0 in 2024.
This impressive increase places MiE 61st out of 760 journals in the Education and Educational Research category, securing its position in the Q1 quartile. The result reflects the journal’s continuing growth in reach, relevance, and impact across the fields of educational leadership, management, and practice.
The Impact Factor calculation remains consistent this year, maintaining a strong emphasis on transparency and research quality. As introduced previously, citations to and from retracted articles are excluded, and only substantive research articles and reviews are counted as “citable items.” These measures help ensure the credibility and robustness of the metric.
MiE’s success forms part of a wider picture of growing research influence and engagement. During 2025, the journal’s publisher supported significant academic and societal impact, with publications contributing not only to scholarly advancement but also to policy development, media discourse, and professional practice. Research outputs have been widely accessed, cited, and shared, demonstrating the increasing visibility and practical relevance of work in educational leadership and management.
Alongside this, continued investment in research integrity and innovation—including enhanced ethical policies, support for policy engagement, and initiatives highlighting the value of social science—has strengthened the environment in which MiE operates and thrives.
This achievement reflects the sustained efforts of the editorial team, reviewers, authors, and the wider BELMAS community, whose contributions have been instrumental in positioning MiE as a leading journal in its field.
BELMAS extends its warmest congratulations and sincere thanks to everyone involved in this outstanding success.
