The launch event from the newly formed Emergent Researcher RIG took place online on Tuesday 28th November.
Formerly the Doctoral Research RIG, the Emergent Researcher (ER) RIG welcomes all masters students, PhD students, early career researchers and practitioners to join the co-convenors, who are passionate about creating a space for emergent researchers and practitioners to come together, share ideas, and learn from one another. The RIG is currently co-convened by Judy Chandler, Marie Beresford-Dey, Niamh Lafferty, and Niamh Hickey, who are all early career researchers working in universities across Britain and the Republic of Ireland.
The launch event featured a panel discussion on ‘Linking research with practice from different perspectives’, with speakers Jennifer Agbaire, Sandra Clarke and Inez Heenan, who brought researcher, student, and practitioner perspectives to the discussion.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, to our ER RIG Convenors, and to Jennifer, Sandra and Inez for sharing their thoughts and insights with us.
