The Governance and Governing Research Interest Group (RIG) hosted a ‘Democratising Educational Governance – Book Proposal Meeting and Workshop’, on Monday 18th May 2026.

During the event, the RIG discussed a proposal for an upcoming book series from BELMAS Research Interest Groups, in partnership with Myers Educational Publishing. The publication will showcase innovative thinking, practitioner insight, and research that advances the understanding of educational governance across diverse contexts, including:

  • The Nature of Governance
  • The Historical Background to Educational Governance
  • Stakeholder Governance (Parental Involvement, Pupil Voice, Staff Involvement, Co-operative
    Governance
  • Governance Recruitment and Induction
  • Global Perspectives
