The latest #LunchtimeSession, entitled ‘Leading for Aesthetic-Embodied Learning for Democracy’, took place on Wednesday 4th March 2026, with hosts, Suzanne Culshaw, Philip Woods and Karen Mpamhanga.

As they have reached the end of their 3-year AECED project (funded by Horizon Europe and UKRI), hosts, Suzanne, Philip and Karen, shared what aesthetic-embodied learning for democracy might mean for you.

Democracy isn’t simply a technical process that involves you learning about its history, principles, rules and institutions. Democracy is a way of governing and a way of relating to each other that is a here-and-now experience.

This online event offered attendees an introduction to the AECED research findings, an overview of the resources available for you to use, as well as an experiential taster of aesthetic-embodied learning for democratic leadership.

In case you missed this event or would like a recap, you can now watch it in full below.

Our sincere thanks to Suzanne, Philip and Karen for hosting and offering their important insights, to Deb Outhwaite for Chairing, and to everyone who joined us for the session.
