
On Tuesday 4th November 2025, the Race and Leadership Research Interest Group, hosted its relaunch event, entitled, ‘Global Imperatives for Race and Leadership in Education’.
Co-Convenors, Stephen Francis, Claire Stewart-Hall, Olayinka Ogunnusi, and Viv Grant, were joined by guest speaker: International Consultant, Associate Professor and Equity & Human Rights Campaigner, Professor Gus John.
Professor John brings a transformative body of work to the topic of Race and Leadership in Education. Specifically, he has been an unrelenting force in the areas of racial justice, educational policy, educational reform, supplementary schooling and anti-racism.
