Join the Leadership for Sustainability Research Interest Group for a compelling session with Professor Leigh Hoath entitled ‘Leading for Sustainability: Why Climate Change Education is a Leadership Responsibility’.

‘As climate change becomes a defining concern for young people, educational leadership must move beyond compliance to transformative action. This session explores why climate change education is fundamentally a leadership issue and how leaders can embed sustainability across strategy, culture and professional learning.’

This session offers an important opportunity for educational leaders, researchers and practitioners to engage with one of the most pressing challenges of our time. Through this online talk, Professor Hoath will invite participants to reflect on the role of leadership in shaping meaningful, systemic responses to climate change within educational contexts.

The Leadership for Sustainability Research Interest Group (RIG) hosted an event on Tuesday 19th May 2026, when Professor Leigh Hoath offered her thoughts on ‘Leading for Sustainability: Why Climate Change Education is a Leadership Responsibility’.
