We invite you to a #LunchtimeSession entitled Redesigning the EdD to Prepare Scholarly Practitioners: The Carnegie Project on the Education (CPED) Approach.

Our host for this session is Dr Jill Perry.

The Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate (CPED) is a consortium of 165 universities in the United States, Canada, and Ireland committed to reimagining the EdD through collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Through the guides of a member developed Framework, the EdD is being repositioned as the highest professional doctorate in Education with aims of preparing practitioners to apply theory, scholarship, and research to improve practice.

In this session, you will learn about CPED, its Framework, and how doctoral preparation can result in Scholarly Practitioners.

Please note, this event is free to BELMAS members and £5.00 for non-members. To ensure you receive your free ticket, please log in on the BELMAS website before booking. 

If you pay the non-member fee to attend and then become a BELMAS Member within a month of the event taking place, please let us know and we will refund the £5 fee.

Registration will close at midnight (UK) on Tuesday 2nd December 2025.
